2019年7月1日上午10:30-11:30，应清华大学立方体-泥沙课题组方红卫教授的邀请，得克萨斯理工大学土木环境与建筑工程系教授Andrew Jackson博士在水利系泥沙实验室数字厅开展了题目为“The Use of Spatially Discrete Passive Samplers to Study Biogeochemical Processes and Transport in Dynamic Sediment Systems”的学术报告。来自清华大学的十余位师生聆听了报告并与Andrew Jackson教授进行了学术讨论。

Andrew Jackson教授简介

· President’s Excellence in Research Professor in Department of Civil Environmental and Construction Engineering at Texas Tech University. · Received B.S. degree in Biology from Rhodes College and M.S. and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University in Engineering Science and Engineering. · Research interest: evaluating the fate (e.g. transformation, sorption, plant uptake) of a variety of contaminants, including: perchlorate, heavy metals, explosives, and chlorinated solvents, in natural environments; develop methods to study the above processes at appropriate scales; develop biological reactors for recycling waste streams.
